Era stato annunciato per Gennaio ed invece parte oggi il rool out di Android 4.4 KitKat per l’economico smartphone Moto G di Motorola.
Prima riceveranno la nuova versione gli utenti americani poi sarà il turno di noi europei, in ogni caso si tratta di un evento eccezionale: un device di 199 € che ottiene la nuova versione Android a circa 50 giorni dalla presentazione di Google.
La versione Android è la 4.4.2 KitKat e ovviamente anche in questo caso il nuovo launcher di Google è da installare a parte (se si vuole).
Dunque Moto G batte sul tempo molti device ben più costosi ma c’è da dire che Motorola è stata acquisita da Google (e questo vorrà pur dire qualcosa) e inoltre la personalizzazioni software della casa alata sono pochissime, Moto G è quasi un Android Stock.

Printing documents and pictures
Added support for printing photos, Google Docs, GMail messages, and other content via Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and hosted services like Google Cloud Print and HP ePrinters.
Hangouts – SMS/MMS support
Incorporated a new version of Google Hangouts that supports integrated SMS/MMS messaging. Hangouts can be set as the default SMS app under Settings > Wireless > Default SMS app.
Accessory support
Added support for Square credit card reader.
